Reese’s Bark is a delicious no-bake treat combining layers of melted chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and crunchy Reese’s pieces candies. This sweet and indulgent snack is easy to prepare and perfect for peanut butter and chocolate lovers alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Layer

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Topping

  • 1 cup Reese’s pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and set aside to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Melt chocolate mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
  3. First chocolate layer: Pour half of the melted chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly into a roughly 9×13 inch rectangle. Place it in the fridge or freezer to allow the chocolate to harden.
  4. Prepare peanut butter layer: While the chocolate sets, combine the creamy peanut butter, softened butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
  5. Add peanut butter layer: Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture evenly over the chilled chocolate layer. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to gently press and spread the peanut butter into an even layer.
  6. Top with remaining chocolate: Pour the remaining melted chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer, spreading it to fully cover the layer beneath.
  7. Add Reese’s pieces: Sprinkle Reese’s pieces candies evenly atop the final chocolate layer for added color, texture, and flavor.
  8. Chill to set: Transfer the entire bark back to the fridge or freezer until it is completely set and firm, then break it into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Use salted butter or unsalted butter with a pinch of salt for better flavor. Margarine is not recommended as it affects taste and texture.
  • For a variation, almond bark can be substituted for the chocolate chips.
  • If desired, real peanut butter may be added to the chocolate mixture as a substitute for peanut butter chips, though this may alter texture slightly.
  • Store Reese’s Bark in an airtight container in the fridge to maintain freshness and firmness.
