Phyllo Rolls

  • 1 package of phyllo dough, thawed
  • 8 oz feta cheese, cut into small logs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Chili Honey Drizzle

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the rolls.
  2. Prepare Phyllo Layers: Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface, brush lightly with melted butter, and layer with another sheet brushing again. Repeat until you have 4 layers stacked.
  3. Cut Strips: Cut the layered phyllo dough into strips about 3 inches wide, preparing them for filling.
  4. Fill and Roll: Place a piece of feta cheese at the end of each strip, then roll up the phyllo around the feta, folding the edges to seal and form a neat package. Place each roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush with Butter & Bake: Brush the outside of each roll with melted butter and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the rolls turn golden and crispy.
  6. Prepare Chili Honey: While the rolls are baking, gently warm the honey in a saucepan over low heat, then stir in chili flakes and apple cider vinegar to combine the flavors.
  7. Drizzle and Garnish: Once the rolls are baked, drizzle generously with the prepared chili honey and garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
